Cody Hill is a Marine Corps Veteran who fell in love with the game and is the founder of Fore 22.

President: Cody Hill

My name is Cody Hill and I am the founder of Fore 22. As a Marine Corps veteran, I experienced the troubling reality of losing many brothers to suicide after active duty service. A recent statistic on veteran suicides displays that we lose an alarming 22 veterans a day. Because of my time in the Marine Corps and my experiences with the loss of my brothers, I turned to the game of golf.

Vice President: CJ Sutherland

CJ is a Marine Corps Veteran. He has a background in industrial environmental compliance testing, sales, and business development. As a veteran, he has experienced the struggles of mental health and losing friends to suicide. He has been using golf as a mental health outlet since 2006 and has encouraged others to do the same. His two main passions align with the mission of Fore22; helping veterans and the game of golf.

Director of Golf: Avery Reed

Avery Reed is the Master Fitter at Fairhope Golf Works and has over 20 years’ experience fitting and building golf equipment for the best golfers in the world, including Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, Justin Rose, Natalie Gulbis and Paula Creamer.

Avery began his career as the Master Fitter at the “Kingdom” located at the TaylorMade headquarters in Carlsbad, California. He then became a Tour Representative for TaylorMade working with staff players on the PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour, Champions Tour and LPGA Tour. After leaving TaylorMade, Avery became the Manager/Master Fitter for the PGA Tour at TPC Sawgrass. Avery oversaw all the custom fitting at TPC Sawgass and serviced the needs of the 45 tour players that reside in the area.

Most recently, Avery has spent the last 10 years working as the Tour Manager for Mitsubishi Chemical. Over the past decade Avery has been traveling and fitting players on the PGA Tour, European Tour, Korn Ferry Tour and LPGA Tour. Many of the players Avery has worked with are top 50 in the world and have won several majors and events using equipment fit and built by him.

Avery now brings his unmatched fitting and club building expertise to Fairhope Golf Works and creates the same tour experience for golfers of all abilities.

Treasurer: Shari Hill

Shari is a dedicated bookkeeper at a leading CPA firm, brining a wealth of experience to her role as Treasurer of the Fore 22 Fund. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for helping organizations achieve their goals, Shari ensures the Fund’s resources are managed with the utmost integrity and efficiency. Her commitment to transparency and accountability strengthens the foundation of Fore 22 Fund, supporting its mission to make a meaningful impact in the community. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her friends and family, where being a part of her grandson’s lives is an added bonus.

Director of Golf: Joey Johnson

Joey Johnson is the Publisher of Southern Fairways and the Director of the Southern Fairways Golf Tour.

Southern Fairways is a print and digital golf lifestyle publication distributed throughout the southeast.

The Southern Fairways Golf Tour offers a fun and competitive atmosphere for golfers of all skill levels through its annual series of tournaments.

Joey graduated with a degree in Marketing from the University of South Alabama in 1995. In 2013, after two decades in the corporate world, he decided to combine his work experience with his lifelong love for the game of golf.

He and his wife, Lisa, live in Summerdale, AL.

Director of Golf: J.T. Perrine

J.T. Perrine is the Director of Instruction at Fairhope Golf Works. J.T. has been playing golf for almost 20 years and has spent the last decade working in golf operations after making the decision to turn pro in 2013.

While working his way up in the golf industry and pursuing his career as a player he found his passion for teaching the game of golf. In the last 10 years J.T. has had the opportunity to play golf with, take lessons from, and exchange ideas with some of the best collegiate players, tour players, golf instructors, and club fitters in the world. These friends and associates include multiple Division 1 and 2 collegiate golfers, U.S. Amateur and U.S. Mid-Am qualifiers, State Champions, current and former tour players on the Symetra Tour, PGA Tour Canada, The Korn Ferry Tour, The PGA Tour, As well as state and nationally ranked teachers by Golf Magazine and Golf Digest.

J.T.’s holistic approach to golf performance is based in fundamentals, factual data, plane and pivot, D-plane, as well as the mental game and course management. J.T. is level 2 Trackman Certified as well as Titleist Performance institute (T.P.I.) Certified.

After many years of trying to balance his interest in the business of golf and golf Instruction, he decided to transition into teaching full-time as a part owner and operator of Fairhope Golf Works with Avery Reed to bring lower Alabama a dedicated full-service game improvement facility

Director of Communications: Kevin Hoard

Kevin brings a vibrant and dynamic energy to The Fore 22 Fund board. With a rich background in customer service and event management, Kevin has honed his expertise through various leadership roles, including managing high-profile events and entertainment services. Kevin’s dedication to enhancing customer experiences, creating engaging environments, and his commitment to excellence aligns perfectly with the mission of The Fore 22 Fund.
